1. These terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Tapmax Apps ("we", "us") covering your use of the Cleatz app and the cleatzapp.com website (together, "the Service"). By downloading or using the Service you accept these Terms. Our Privacy Policy forms part of them.
2. Your licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, sell, rent or sub-licence the app; reverse engineer or attempt to extract its source code, 3D model or artwork except where the law allows; or use it to build a competing product.
3. Your designs and your account
The boots you design are yours. We don't claim ownership of them or use them for our own purposes.
An account is optional. Signing in — with Apple or Google; there is no password — backs your boots up so they survive a new phone. You can delete your account, and everything backed up to it, from Settings › Delete account at any time. Cloud backup is a convenience, not a guarantee — save pictures of anything you can't bear to lose.
The underlying app — its code, 3D boot model, patterns, textures, fonts and tools — remains our property or that of our licensors.
4. Third-party names, logos and trademarks
Cleatz is an independent design tool. It is not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by or connected to any football club, league, competition, sportswear manufacturer or sponsor. Any brand names, logos or design styles that appear in the app or on this website belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and reference only.
- Designs that include third-party trademarks are for personal, non-commercial use.
- If you want to manufacture, sell or otherwise commercialise a design containing someone else's trademark or logo, that is your responsibility and you will generally need the rights holder's permission. We grant no rights to do so.
- Your designs are not official or licensed products and must not be presented as though they are.
If you own rights in material you believe is used inappropriately, contact [email protected] and we will review it promptly.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to create or share content that infringes anyone's rights; is unlawful, hateful, harassing, discriminatory, obscene or defamatory; impersonates a person or organisation or falsely suggests official endorsement; or is intended to pass off counterfeit goods as genuine. You also agree not to interfere with the Service or extract its content in bulk.
6. Free access, ads and unlockable content
The app is free and funded by advertising; by using it you accept that ads will be shown. Patterns and textures can be unlocked for your current session by choosing to watch a rewarded ad. Watching is always optional, and an unlock is a convenience rather than a purchase: it has no monetary value and ends when you close the app. If the app offers paid content in future, transactions will be handled by Apple or Google under their terms.
7. Content updates and availability
Some artwork, such as textures and logos, is downloaded over the internet and can change. We may add, alter or remove items at any time. We aim to keep the Service available but don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may change or discontinue features or the Service at any time.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties including Google (advertising and sign-in), Apple (sign-in), Supabase (cloud backup) and our content delivery provider. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their processing, and we are not responsible for services we don't control.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited, and if you are a consumer your statutory rights are unaffected.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss of data arising from your use of the Service. Because the Service is free, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or £50.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms, or from your commercial use of a design that infringes someone else's rights.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms. Sections 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 and 14 survive termination.
13. App Store terms
If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us, not Apple; that Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app; that Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app; and that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo and are not on any US Government restricted-party list. If you downloaded the app from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, whose courts have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep any mandatory protections of your local law.
15. General and changes
If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest continues in force. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. We may update these Terms; the current version is always on this page, and continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
